This ink is Swadeshi Sulekha’s Shraddhanjali to Toshiko Soma, wife of freedom fighter Rash Behari Bose, for her contribution to India’s struggle to shake off the foreign yoke. The choice of the ink’s colour is deliberate as it takes the hues of the Sakura flowers that bloom, only fleetingly, symbolising the transient nature of life. Toshiko Soma too died young, her blossoming marking the bonds of fraternity between the people of Japan and India for eternity, but in a passing moment.
