Bande Mataram – a timeless tribute from Sulekha.
It is a beautifully crafted box coiffured in Khadi cloth. Inside is a dip pen, an ebonite period piece, which comes with a vintage Gooptu nib and a wooden pen rest. The box contains another interesting object – a logo of Khadi Pratisthan, Sodepur, which was not only blessed with the Mahatma’s association, but was founded by Satish Chandra Dasgupta, veteran freedom fighter and the man behind the Khadi Movement. Not many people know, but his name is inextricably linked with Sulekha, which is self-explanatory. The two bottles of Sulekha ink representing the first two paragraphs of the song, making the circle of devotion complete.
Also in the box is an illustrated booklet that introduces the reader to Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay (the author of Bande Mataram), Jadu Bhatta (one who had scored the original music), Rabindra Nath Tagore (on his first rendition of the song), Ananda Math (the play of which the song was a part), Banga Bhanga Andolan (when the song became a slogan), Rishi Arabinda (who edited a newspaper called Bande Mataram), Dr Rajendra Prasad (and the final adoption of the song by Independent India.)
The pack was launched to commemorate the 150th year of Bandemataram.

1 ebonite dip pen,
1 vintage Gooptu nib,
